Creation vs destruction
Did you ever notice that it’s easier to destroy than to create?
We build a house for months, then an earthquake destroys it in a few minutes.
Or we cultivate a strong relationship for years, then one moment of anger ruins it.
We raise a child with lots of love, only to lose them because of an invisible virus.
To create something, we need to dedicate time and attention to it. We need to plan our effort, direct our resources.
Creation requires intelligence, sensitivity, presence of mind, civilisation.
Destruction doesn’t require any of that.
A brutal, wild, unconscious act can be enough.
Look around you.
All that you see, man-made or not, has taken time to be. Plants, animals, buildings, objects, relationships…
Attention, effort, love, and care made them possible.
But one moment of anger, malevolence, or mindlessness can wipe them out.
Never forget this.
It’s easier to destroy than to create.
